Clayton Annual Fun Run! Oct 3rd 2024
WHO: Organized by the Clayton Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) WHAT: this is Clayton's biggest fundraiser for the year! WHERE: Students run laps around the school earning a beaded necklace for each lap! WHEN: October 3rd from 8:30am-10:30am. WHY: Students raise funds to support clubs, field trips, and events!
Clayton's Annual Walk and Roll to School! Oct 9th 7:30 - 8:15am
WHO: Organized by PTO member Kyle Conrad in association with the City of Englewood. What: Students gathered to walk or ride bikes to school WHERE: The group gathered at Maddox and followed a designated route along Fox street escorted EPD and parent volunteers WHEN: October 9th from 7:30am-8:15am WHY: To promote safe and active transportation with students and families
Clayton Glow Dance! Dec 12th 4:30-6pm
WHO: All Clayton Students are welcome! WHAT: The Dance is a drop off event with pizza, games, and fun! WHERE: The Dance is held in the gym, and up through the cafeteria WHEN: December 12th from 4:30pm-6pm WHY: Clayton's Fun Run Goal Achieving Celebration!
Clayton Holiday Shop! Dec 11 - 13th
WHO: Organized by the PTO - run by volunteers WHAT: A Clayton tradition WHERE: Held in the Library WHEN: During school hours December 11th-13th WHY: the Holiday Shop is a special opportunity for students to shop for and wrap their own gifts for friends and family!
One School One Book Event! Feb 13th 2025
WHO: All Clayton students, every grade level What: Every year Clayton spends several weeks reading (or being read to) the same book! WHERE: Students read at home but the One School One Book Event takes place throughout the Clayton building WHEN: Reading begins January 14th and the final celebration will be held on February 13th 2025 WHY: One School One Book promotes a love of reading and sense of community within our school!
Scholastic Book Fair! Feb 26 - 27th 2025
WHO: Organized and run by Clayton's PTO WHAT: The Scholastic Book Fair is a chance for families to purchase new books for their homes, and for the Clayton Library! WHERE: The fair is hosted in the CLayton Library WHEN: During parent/teacher conferences February 26th and 27th WHY: Clayton loves to read!
Clayton Health Night! March 2025
WHO: Ms Damjanovich P.E. Teacher What: To celebrate all things health, Clayton holds an annual Health night where families come to experience a variety of healthy activities! WHERE: Held throughout the Clayton building. WHEN: March 2025 (specifics TBD) WHY: At Clayton we support healthy living!
ARTS ALIVE WEEK! May 5 - 9th 2025
WHO: Organized by the Specials Teachers, Ms Dynda (Music), Ms Krzesinski, Ms Damjanovich (P.E.), Ms Hoeh (Art) WHAT: A week long celebration of our Clayton artists and musicians - where students experience artists throughout the community -culminating in a school wide art show and performance WHERE: Clayton Elementary WHEN: May 5th - 9th WHY: Clayton is a school of the arts where we seek to educate the whole child Head, Hand and Heart
Clayton Community Carnival! May 10th 2025
WHO: Organized by the Clayton PTO, and supported by the teachers and staff WHAT: CLayton holds a community carnival! WHERE: On the community court surrounding the playground WHEN: Saturday May 10th 2025 WHY: To end the year with a celebration of community! Food, games, face-painting, prizes, the dunk tank, so much fun, and everyone is invited!
